Privacy Policy & Messaging Terms

This site is run by Dan Phillips (Daniel Phillips), an individual based in Philadelphia, PA, for a small set of personal projects — two Dewey Beach rental homes (booked via Airbnb), a daily puzzle called The Daily Dip, and occasional dinner get-togethers — all for friends and family.

Text Messaging Program

I send occasional SMS/text messages to friends and family who have personally asked to be included. Messages contain personal, non-commercial content such as a Daily Dip puzzle link or details for a dinner get-together.

Consent / opt-in: You are only added to messaging if you personally request it — in person or by texting the program number to opt in. Phone numbers are never purchased, scraped, or added without the person's direct request.
Opt-out: Reply STOP at any time to be removed. You may also reply HELP for assistance, or simply ask me directly.
Message frequency: Varies; typically no more than a few messages per week.
Cost: Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
No sharing: Mobile information is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers are used solely to deliver these messages.

Information Collected

For the messaging program, the only information collected is your name and mobile phone number, provided by you when you ask to be included. For the rental homes, bookings and guest information are handled by Airbnb under Airbnb's own policies — this site links to those listings and does not collect booking details itself.

How Information Is Used

Contact details are used only to send you the messages you asked to receive and to organize the get-togethers or share the puzzle. Information is not used for advertising and is not sold.

Data Retention & Removal

Your number is kept only while you wish to receive messages. Reply STOP, or contact me, and it is removed promptly.
